I met her soon after her return to Poland.

Shy, full of doubt. With complicated family relationships, with a father hard to "equate" with. Moreover, people constantly confused her with her sister, Agata. At the time she started writing books. With this writing she was settling her life. I could see how it made her grow, it was building her up. I have always been impressed by how she created herself. And then she started travelling. No longer to Zakopane or Paris. Much further. These trips are the second thing that created her. As in writing, she discovered herself in them.

Paulina Młynarska is my friend, my handy encyclopedia,

sometimes my therapist and sometimes my patient, depending on how long she’s sitting on the barricades. Forces you to think. God, how I hate it! She looks into my eyes and asks difficult questions that I have to answer for myself. Belts out her Dad’s songs. Breaks into a dance, sometimes breaking a leg. Laughs out with all of herself. Loves good, sublime, light jokes – that's why she loves me! She doesn’t allow me to think and talk bad about myself.
